It is inspiring people to take action – there is no action too big or too small. From visiting someone that you know living with dementia, to being more patient in a shop queue. Every action counts.
Too many people affected by dementia feel that society fails to understand their condition and the impact it has on their lives.
We want everyone living with dementia to feel confident and empowered to do day-to-day things that they have always been able to do, such as buy their groceries or get on the bus.
We are creating Dementia Friends Champions, who are volunteers that run Information Sessions within their own networks and communities.
We ask everyone who attends an Information Session to commit to an action in their everyday lives that will make their community more dementia-friendly. They will then become a Dementia Friend.
